RLS Maintenance Manager
Responsible for overall management and growth of facility maintenance department to include direct supervision of the maintenance staff and maintenance planner. Responsible for overseeing the execution of assigned work schedules, timely response to emergency breakdowns, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of all work performed.
Implementation, use, and maintenance of a new CMMS platform, that will track critical spare parts needs and inventory. Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as well as internal collaboration with all functional departments to improve operations and support continuous improvement efforts as well as environmental and safety compliance and excellence. Responsible for monitoring and managing maintenance related budgets. Develop, monitor, and manage maintenance related KPIs. Champion continuous improvements, lean initiatives, training, and a positive work culture.
Major Responsibilities/Activities (List in order of importance the essential functions of the job and the approximate percentage of time spent on each of the activities; describe what must be accomplished, not how it must be done.):
Develop the vision, systems, and procedures for the overall support and improvement of the maintenance mission facility wide. Develop and implement a new CMMS system to enhance PM procedures, formal work order system, spare parts tracking, labor utilization and KPIs. Identify, provide or support additional technical training, tools and resources as well as required reporting and documentation.
Monitor and manage all maintenance departmental budgets and forecasting.
Monitor daily maintenance activities and manage meeting department schedules, safety and machine availability goals. Support operational management initiatives and provide effective leadership for those initiatives and the department.
Effectively deal with technical issues that arise daily to include emergency breakdowns, upgrades, modifications and installations. Make timely decisions and provide clear direction to crews or staff on how to maximize their effectiveness and minimize the impact to production and budget.
Provide overall supervision and guidance for all maintenance operations according to Policy, Procedures and guidelines to assure legal and ethical compliance.
Provide critical input concerning improvement of machine availability, process capability and quality of product through execution of preventive maintenance programs and analysis of downtime data, breakdown and replacement trends, quality trends and shift reports.
Ensure thorough documentation of all accomplishments and work of crews via daily shift reports and CMMS documentation. Communicate with other shifts and departments on a routine basis to maintain and improve operational and maintenance effectiveness.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (Include education, experience, reasoning ability, special skills, computer ability and licenses or certifications required):
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum High School diploma with 5+ year's industrial maintenance experience with at least 3 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
Demonstrated technical training/education or post-secondary education a plus.
Formal supervisory and leadership training highly preferred.
Must have good general computer skills and familiarity with associated software.
CMMS systems experience preferred, prefer E-Maint.
Experience in ISO, Lean, Lockout-Tagout, Servos, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC/HMI programming (Allen Bradley and B&R) is a plus
