If you are interested in joining a team of passionate professionals, we are hiring a Maintenance Manager to be responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the building, maintaining the grounds, and make sure that they are in an exceptional condition and appearance.

Essential Duties:

  • Repair and oversee the maintenance of equipment and building facilities

  • Maintain grounds including outside building repair, and lawn maintenance in cooperation with the contractors

  • Maintain and clean all areas inside the building, including the offices

  • Track and respond to all work orders in a timely fashion

  • Train staff on day-to-day operations and on emergency procedures

  • Prepare and refurbish apartments for resident move-ins; including painting, carpet laying, replacement of vinyl floors, and installation of ceiling fans

  • Ensure fire safety and emergency procedures/records/measurments are in compliance with regulations and environmental concerns (natural disasters, fires, loss of electricity, plumbing issues, pipe breakages, etc.)

  • Inspect resident apartments for potential problems and hazards

  • Schedule and/or perform preventative maintenance and keep quality assurance records up-to-date for physical plant

  • Perform janitorial tasks as needed

  • Transport residents in company vehicles as scheduled and as needed

  • Respond to emergencies outside of normal working schedule as necessary

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • May be required to manage and oversee housekeeping, transportation, and/or maintenance staff

  • Responsible for interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training all team members, if appliciable

  • Responsible for ensuring the team is knowledgeable of the Company's policies and procedures, if appliciable

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of maintenance experience preferably in senior care environment

  • Accredited maintenance training

  • Two years of supervisory experience

  • Extensive knowledge of all building systems and related code requirements, systems included plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and equipment repair

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills

  • Self-motivation and accountability for results

  • Must possess a general knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding Assisted Living, Memory Care and Independent Living

  • Possess an appreciation of seniors and an understanding of the aging process

  • Proficiency in Internet Explorer, and MS Office

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50lbs, bend, maintain stationary position, move freely, operate equipment, ascend/descend freely, and position self to reach equipment above or below normal standing height
