Job Purpose

Manages Maintenance personnel and department.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages Maintenance personnel and department throughput.

• Prepares and analyzes reports for various department managers.

• Coordinates with various departments to schedule maintenance repairs, improvement projects and equipment installs.

• Promotes MacDermid policies and demonstrates a proactive commitment towards improving the facility EH&S standing as well as addressing ISO 9002, ISO 14001, safety and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Assists Engineering and EH&S with all phases of project development and implementation.

• Works with other department supervisors as well as operators on process improvement suggestions.

• Adjusts work schedule to fit the requirements of the project, task, and/or production demands etc.

• Assists maintenance mechanics when workload dictates.

• Works with department personnel in regards to personal and professional development.

• This includes performance reviews, training and discipline.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience in Industrial Maintenance as a department supervisor or leader, preferably in chemical processing or surface finishing.

• A good understanding of local and state codes, regulatory, ASME standards and construction practices.

• General computer skills and Lotus Notes.
