In addition to developing and implementing short-term and mid-term business plans for department, and assists in the development of the strategic plan for the plant.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMESPlans, manages and directs the efforts of maintenance, electric, and hydraulic work teams and provides maintenance and mechanical engineering support to these teams.Develops, implements and communicates short-term and mid-term (1 - 2 years) business plans for the operations, ensuring associates understand the link to the plant's, division's and the corporation's business plans and understand their role in accomplishing these plans.Assists in establishing the longer-term strategic plans for the plant.Develops operating policies and procedures as necessary.Mentors and motivates associates, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.Communicates performance standards to associates, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems. Ensures all associates have the resources and capabilities to effectively accomplish their responsibilities.May serve as a member of the plant's Steering Team.Directs the analysis of mechanical and operational problems on plant equipment, overseeing the planning and implementation of corrective action.Oversees the scheduling of preventive maintenance checks and inspection of plant equipment ensuring there are no disruptions to the production schedule.Develops, maintains and reports required operational information to management.Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily production report.Ensures that plant facilities and grounds are maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, company standards and fiscal consideration.Prepares major equipment bids, approves purchase of new equipment as appropriate.Represents the company's position and interest in dealing with outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.May have responsibility for plant safety including arranging and coordinating annual fire safety inspections with local fire departments; arranging and coordinating internal safety inspections; and implementing solutions to identified safety deficiencies.May direct the machine parts storeroom operation in smaller facilities.Keeps abreast of latest manufacturing technologies and systems and engineering concepts.Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support the business objectives.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCEBA/BS degree in Engineering or related field and HVAC licensing5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment requiring knowledge of refrigeration, plumbing, industrial electrical and mechanical systems and maintenance, and automated manufacturing process controls and equipment

Demonstrated knowledge and application of preventative maintenance techniques/scheduling and safety management

Working knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation processes/procedures and HACCPDemonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and associate safety, OSHA standards, product quality (success rates), cost control (minimizing downtime and waste, optimizing yield)Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor and schedule work

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

Demonstrated mechanical and spatial aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and r eassemble equipment

Demonstrated ability to formulate and understand complex mathematical equations

The Production Planning & Control Manager reports to the Mill Plant Manager and receives functional guidance from the Titanium Segment Master Planner. This role is responsible for translating the Niles product family master supply plans to work center specific production tasks consolidated in weekly/daily master and asset schedules in SAP. Oversees work center capacity management, balances production and inventory levels with demand to support reliable target delivery dates, inventory goals, capacity utilization and revenue/margin targets. Responsibilities also include managing the site's staff that supports planning/scheduling, shop floor materials management at Niles and its contract manufacturers network, finished product inventory management and manufacturing analytics. Key Responsibilities and Duties: * Provide leadership, management and direction for the production planning, scheduling and control team, which includes Production Planners, Material Applicators, Flow Coordinators, OSC Management staff, Schedulers, Facilitators and Supply Chain Analysts supporting Mill operations. * Ensure that all employment practices under his/her control, including hiring, promotions, demotions, and disciplines are conducted in compliance with equal employment opportunity laws and Arconic policy. * Develop a personnel-training matrix that identifies what type of training is required, the timeframe for initial and renewable training, and tracks the status of the training program. Conduct training as required. * Ensure safe work practices to keep team injury-free. * Responsible for production order creation and management, level loading production tasks, managing bookings to promise achievable delivery dates to customers, constraining demand and expediting orders when warranted. * Responsible for translating master supply plans to tactical execution of production orders that support customer OTIF targets while meeting business sales, cost and inventory targets. * Responsible for the creation of the capacity plans and production schedules by work center in weekly and daily increments, prioritizing orders and controlling flow of materials to the shop floor. * Responsible for controlling the cost of outsourcing by engaging contract manufacturers as needed to supplement capacity when required to meet demand. * Responsible for communication of production status relative to short-term targets, providing the required visibility to support Daily management and problem solving with credible data describing system's status. * Establishes continuous improvement processes and culture to increase supply reliability to world class levels. Continually analyze process and procedures for opportunities to eliminate waste, streamline for efficiency and utilization of emerging tools and techniques. * Responsible for continuous improvement of Master and Asset schedules compliance supporting OTIF goals attainment, Inventory and Cost targets, and business process improvements of the production control and planning processes including exploiting full capabilities of SAP system. * Responsible for driving and resourcing improvements to Niles master data and shop floor transactional data quality. * Represents Arconic in dealings with customers, suppliers and governmental agencies. #LI-EC1 Qualifications Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; * Minimum 7 years of combined experience in supply planning/scheduling and operations with a minimum of 4 years being in supply planning/scheduling; * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
