While this position specifies responsibilities, requirements and duties in certain operational areas, this person is an employee at will of Independent Living Services and will be expected to respond to such requests not specifically contained herein. This person must maintain the attitude that he/she works for the total organization, and as such, exhibit proper cooperation, enthusiasm and interest in all areas deemed necessary for the continuing success of ILS programs. Knowledge of ILS Policy and Personnel Manuals is required.
The Maintenance employee will work under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director. The maintenance employee works alone or assists with the repair and maintenance of structural woodwork, cabinets; performs general repairs and maintenance on existing equipment/buildings in establishments as instructed by supervisor. ILS reserves the right to adjust employment hours and days of operation based upon requirements to fulfill contract obligations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Being on time for work
Completing all necessary documentation to assure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Maintaining strict confidentiality for all consumer information, and facility operations
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with lawn care/maintenance for all facilities within the organization.
Performs repairs/maintenance at all facilities as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Minor Plumbing: repair leaks, set fixtures or call service agent who gives good service for price.
Electrical: light fixtures, receptacles, switches, fans, add circuits as needed for computers, etc.
Windows/Doors: repair and replace (glass and screens).
Builds cabinets and other wooden equipment.
Installs items such as fluorescent lights, window shades, blinds, and curtain rods, wall fans, and door locks in Profiles, offices, and residential units.
Heat/Air: fix minor repairs or call service agent for larger problems.
Assists with moving large items and furniture as necessary. Set up furniture and repair.
Appliance repair/replacement, as needed, or call service agent.
Attend in-service training and/or retraining requirements as scheduled.
Maintains confidentiality of all information received regarding ILS and the confidentiality shall be in compliance with ILS non-disclosure policy.

Preferably a High School Education or equivalent.
One year experience working in maintenance or related experience and/or training.
Valid AR driver's license in good standing.
Ability to safely operate any and all vehicles, machines, and industrial equipment necessary.
Proof of vehicle liability insurance
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate clearly with supervisor, co-workers and consumers verbally or utilizing other effective means.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Prefer electrical experience
