Maintenance Lube Technician

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance duties, such as changing filters, maintaining machine fluid levels, and cleaning various production machines.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Change filters according to a predetermined schedule according to departmental SOP's - including but not limited to air filters, coolant filters, and wash tank filters.

• Maintain fluid levels of various production machines and equipment according to a predetermined schedule according to departmental SOP's.

• Empty chip hoppers and wastewater from work cells.

• Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures

• Report issues of concern to Machine Repair Team.

• Record routine maintenance completion, routine inspection results, routine machine data collection, other required information.

• Keep tools, maintenance work area, maintenance room clean and ready to use.

• Overtime may be required for completing repairs (long workdays and/or weekends).

• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

• Valid driver's license.

• Ability to operate a powered Industrial truck (fork lift).

• Ability to operate motorized devices and use various hand tools.

• Ability to use a computer (Excel, Word, Outlook, Syteline, Etc.)

• Ability to write, read, count, identify shade of colors, and perceive depth.

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle, office equipment, and mechanical equipment.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform light to heavy carrying and lifting (up to 75 pounds), to stand and walk; use hands to handle, feel, or manipulate objects; reach with hands and arms; and see, talk, and hear. Duties may also require, pulling, grasping, bending, sitting, pushing, crouching, crawling, twisting, kneeling, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, walking, and reaching above shoulders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
