SUMMARY

  • Assign tasks and lead Maintenance Associates in performing predictive and preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment.

  • Ensure team members have sufficient tools and support to perform their daily job functions.

  • Assist maintenance Supervisor and Manager with day-to-day projects and other assignments.

  • Communicate all issues to management that could result in process delays, safety issues, or otherwise cause a loss to the company or its associates.

  • Able to produce significant inputs and project definition used for annual financial planning.

  • Identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety, upholding safety standards.

  • Operate the team within the approved budget.

  • Work with vendors and online tools for ordering parts and maintaining inventory.

  • Pro-actively interact with supervisors and management throughout the fulfillment center and corporate areas identifying facilities issues and developing an ongoing strategy for remedial to advanced preventive maintenance actions.

  • Must be able to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, either in conjunction with his or her regular responsibilities or those assigned in other areas as directed.

  • Identifying training needs within the department using internal or external resources.

  • Be a train the trainer for maintenance activities (scissor, lift, boom, elevated surfaces, confined spaces, LOTO, etc.)

  • Ability to delegate work to lower level technicians based on their abilities.

  • Successfully works and leads with minimal to no supervision

  • Experience with PLC systems such as Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens is a plus.

  • Proven ability to document work product and effectively communicate performance to leadership.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and present state-required proof of age documents.

  • Minimum of 10+ years previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility or distribution center

  • Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley & Siemens PLC systems is a plus.

  • Trade school certificate from an accredited institution in at least 2 of the following: electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, PLC System or HVAC trade or equivalent work experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Possesses a desire for continuous training for oneself an to share knowledge with others.

  • Intermediate knowledge of business computer systems and applications - specifically, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.

  • Verifiable mechanical and electrical skills to perform independent maintenance on conveyor equipment, plumbing fixtures and lighting.

  • Proven ability for process improvement through written and verbal communication.

  • Basic HVAC and welding experience.

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Strong ability to document predictive/preventive maintenance charts, including tasks and assignments of work orders within the computerized maintenance management systems.

  • Ability to lead a small team while proving daily direction and correction for maintenance team.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach over head with arms and hands and climb ladders, must be able to climb stairs up to three flights and not be afraid of heights.

  • Must be able to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, either in conjunction with his or her regular responsibilities or those assigned in other areas.

  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to all GameStop policies and procedures including, but not limited to, those related to attendance and scheduling requirements, honesty and integrity, confidentiality, safety, and conflict of interest.
