Maintenance Lead

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Lead responsibilities include training maintenance technicians, working with contract vendors to complete work that is assigned to them, review work in progress to ensure work is being completed timely and accurate, and will resolve issues with staff, homeowners, and other departments. This position will also collaborate with other department heads to review, set, and achieve company goals and objectives. The Maintenance Lead is an FLPP ambassador and role model of the company's culture and brand.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

• Actively supports the vision and values of FLPP demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork, respect, open communication, trust, and accountability.

• Oversees the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance department. Collaborates with the Customer Care Team to ensure all work orders are assigned and completed, ensuring high quality standards are met.

• Promptly follows up on all maintenance requests and concerns reported by Maintenance Manager, Inspectors, Housekeeping, Guests, and Owners.

• Oversees safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries to the Maintenance Manager

• Identifies, recommends, develops, and implements new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.

• Communicates effectively with vendors, owners, guests and all FLPP department staff as needed.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years' experience in maintenance, preferably in the property service environment

• Knowledge of common work order repair issues found in rental units

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma

• Must have reliable transportation

• Valid Driver's License

• Ability to work flexible hours and required weekend work

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements

• Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on a regular basis

• While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)

• Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 40 lbs. and occasionally up to 50lbs.
