Maintenance Lead 3Rd Shift

Scope of the Position

Maintenance Lead will be responsible for the oversight of the Maintenance team members on his/ her shift. Assist Maintenance Manager with day-to-day operations of the department/ assigned work area to ensure Customer requirements are met while ensuring procedures are followed to provide a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively performing job duties as required in Maintenance Technician position

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and program malfunctions in automated systems, automated machinery and stamping presses

• Modify existing production work cells to improve quality, productivity and ergonomics

• Perform preventative maintenance

• Coordinate regular preventative maintenance on daily equipment and facility

• Communicate with Manufacturing Supervisor's throughout the shift to understand prioritization of Maintenance calls throughout the shift

• Understand strengths of each Maintenance team member to be able to adequately assign team members to Maintenance calls

• Monitor team members progress throughout the shift

• Main contact for escalation of Maintenance concerns to Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager and/ or General Manager

• Perform pass down meeting with next shift and daily report to Maintenance Manager

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Minimum of three years Maintenance Technician experience working in fast paced, industrial environment

• Prefer previous Lead/ Supervisor experience, or current employee that has consistently demonstrated the ability to do the job will also be considered

• Knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatic systems and hydraulic systems

• Ability to identify root cause and countermeasures

• Able to read, analyze and interpret manuals, work orders, blueprints, etc. to perform required maintenance and service
