SUMMARY: Complete on-going preventative maintenance inspections, on a wide variety of fixed industrial operating plant equipment, to identify maintenance requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Walk down the operating plant with inspection checklists and accurately recording pertinent inspection information
Use Tools and Equipment Safety Verification Checklist
Periodically review standard operating procedures (SOP's) and complete risk assessments on various tasks
Train other maintenance inspectors
Assist in the Pre-job Checklist
Work performed in an OSHA regulated (heavy metals exposure) area
Full-face respirator is required
EXAMPLES OF EQUIPMENT REQUIRING INSPECTION:
Water Systems- including multiple types and sizes of piping, pumps, valves, and spray systems at high pressure
Pneumatic Equipment- including compressors, and material transport systems
Hydraulic Systems- including filter presses and hot metal casting wheels
Conveyor Systems- including open and closed belts, screw conveyors, and bucket elevators
Ventilation Systems and Bag Houses
Steam Systems and Boilers
Crushers and Mills- including jaw, gyratory, rotating, and roller
Environmental Control Systems- including monitoring equipment, electrostatic precipitators, and wet scrubber systems
High Temperature Acid Piping & Vessels
Rotary Dryers or Kilns
Power Generation Equipment- including steam turbine generators
Candidate must have a basic understanding of machine elements i.e. frame, bearing, axles, fastener, seal, lubricants, etc. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma is required. Minimum of 5 years' experience with industrial environment and process.
