As an HVAC/Maintenance technician, The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with. the current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Executive Director or Administrator, and/or the Manager of Support Services, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. At our company, our technicians are tasked with working on refrigeration, ventilation, cooling and heating systems.. HVAC technicians must be ready to repair, install or maintain all heating and cooling systems as needed.
Maintain, install, and repair air conditioning, ventilation and heating systems.
Troubleshoot issues with a current system as they are noticed.
Conduct performance tests with specialized tools and adjust system settings to keep temperature comfortable in the facility.
Work Orders/Transfers as needed
Any other duties as assigned
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that work schedules are followed as closely as practical.
Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be.
(Note: Such occurrence must be reported on the shift in which they occur.)
Complete required forms as necessary or as directed by supervisor.
Show up for shift as assigned including on-call duty if needed.
Attend departmental and staff meetings as directed or called.
Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
Addresses residents, families and fellow employees in a professional and courteous manner.
Safety and Sanitation and Equipment Functions
Follows established fire safety and emergency procedures.
Follow Life Safety Guidelines
Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies (i.e. chemicals, disinfectants and solutions).
Reports immediately to supervisor any health or safety issues.
Maintains and follows universal precaution procedures.
Follows departmental dress code as applicable.
Keeps equipment cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.
Performs maintenance tasks within established standards and within known regulatory requirements.
Works within Regency's and Support Services policies and procedures.
Completes maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
Performs all other duties as directed by supervisor or other managers.
Any other duties as assigned by Executive Director or Supervisor
Job Skills and Qualifications
Certification or associate's degree from an HVAC program at a technical school
Current driver's license
Required state licensing for HVAC technicians showing state exams were passed
