Maintenance Engineering Tech - Hvac

About the Role

This position will be responsible for maintaining plant heating and cooling needs, as well as the chillers, Cooling Towers and Air Handlers. They will also be assisting Maintenance techs in general maintenance and training on the HVAC-R. This role is based in our Georgetown, Texas facility.

What You'll Do

• Servicing and maintenance of systems at all locations

• Ordering and securing needed parts and supplies for maintenance including refrigerant.

• Aiding EHS with necessary EPA reporting

• Maintaining needed logs for all state and federal regulations

• Aiding in meeting ISO standards for installations

What You Bring

• Associate's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline.

• 4+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment

• HVAC_R certification required

• Adhere to company safety and security precautions

• Competent in hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hand saws etc.,)

• Handheld power tools (drills, saws, grinders, etc.,)

• Able to understand both written and verbal instructions.

• Basic computer skills (Outlook, MS Teams, MS Office)

• Fork truck/pallet jack and aerial lift operator.

• CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management system)

• Shop equipment (Drill Press, sheet metal brake, welder, milling machine, 3 jaw lathe, horizontal saw, and metal working machine)

• Comfortable working at heights, confined and tight spaces and inclement weather such as hot and cold areas.

• Knowledge of Chilled water plant

• Chiller

• Cooling towers including water treatment

• Modulation valves

• Piping schematics

• Basic motor operations

• Three-phase, high-voltage connection

• Alignment of motors to pumps

• Preventative/predictive maintenance practices

• Vibration

• Thermal

• Time based

• Cleaning/oil changes, air filters etc.
