Maintenance Engineer Lead

Job Description

This position provides maintenance and repair services for Newport Medical Center under the direction and supervision of the Engineering/Maintenance Department to ensure comfortable, efficient, continuous and compliant facility operation. Leads the work of others in the Maintenance Department.

Responsible for design, development, implementation and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.

Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Responsible for the facilities Compliance Binders and related policies related to the Joint Commission standards of performance; Corporate Compliance; Emergency Management and local/state/federal regulations. Assist in coordinating all aspects of the 7 functional elements included in the Environment of Care (Safety/Security, Fire Safety, Hazardous Materials, Life Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Clinical Equipment and Utilities). Performs a variety of tasks. Bachelor's degree preferred, 3-5 years in the field or in a related area.
