Maintenance Engineer II - Engineering - $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Northwest Health Porter

Perform intermediate maintenance job functions. Assist Maintenance Trades, in learning, and task completion capacity. Technician II is an experienced level position for Engineering Services, candidates must have a strong mechanical, and technical aptitude, along with a willingness to learn and advance. Intermediate maintenance skills are required. Technician must have a good working knowledge of Physical Plant Systems, HVAC, and Building Automation System. Must be able to perform electrical task on voltages up to 480V and be able to read a one line wiring diagram. Individual will need to have experience running generators and knowledge of emergency transfer switches. Maintenance Technician II should be able read motor name plate information and be able to perform a motor change out, preparing it for a final inspection from a Trades technician before start up. Must maintain and use, all appropriate safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, and face shield. Individuals will need to have a strong work ethic with an ability to work independently as well as within the team. Computer skills are necessary to perform work order and task completion into online data base as well as to be able to communicate through email.
Education:
Experience:
Minimum of 3 year experience in hospital or healthcare environment or 5 years equivalent in an industrial environment with relevant maintenance experience preferred.
Trade School, or Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing credentialing (any level) preferred.
Demonstrates extensive knowledge of mechanical aptitude, mechanical concepts, and building construction basics preferred.
Must have proficient experience with use of an electrical meter.
Must have knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems and emergency electrical systems.
Numerical ability is needed to make calculations for installation and repair of equipment.
Must be able to measure, cut, drill shape, and paint material.
Knowledge of tool names and proper usage.
Must be able to organize, prioritize, and schedule daily duties.
Possesses superior communication skills, demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment, and be able to effectively work independently.
