Maintenance Engineer

Provide mechanical engineering & technical support to a collaborative team of Skilled Trades, Controls & Process Engineers in the diagnosing & repairs of CNC and Assembly Machining Operations. Provide the technical drawings & OEM documentation to the Machining Maintenance team of Supervisors, Engineers, & Skilled Trades needed to troubleshoot faults, and diagnosing equipment failure.

Support all critical machine breakdown repairs, with interaction across all three shifts of support team members. Support troubleshooting efforts of complex machining equipment downtime issues. Implement and support machining monitoring systems.

Assist the Manufacturing Engineering team and equipment OEM’s with specifications for new machines & machine upgrades. Apply new technology and continuous improvement projects to existing machining processes to provide optimal machining solutions & increased efficiency Attend SFM meetings and work closely with Operations Team to improve equipment uptime by reducing MTBF & MTTR, and improve the overall reliability and safety of machining equipment. Interpret machining equipment production data to help develop machine upgrade projects & implement cycle time improvements.

Work with TPM group in the planning, scheduling, & execution of planned maintenance. Assist identifying the critical spare parts and proper inventory levels needed to sustain machining operations. Participate in teams and cross-functional groups.

Requirements: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field Proficient with PC hardware and commercially available software. Knowledge of safety codes and standards. Knowledge of fluid systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, coolant, and lubrication). Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
