We are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team at our Hyatt Place Vacaville property.

As Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for performing general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained.

Job Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer include:

  • Responding to engineering service calls

  • Completing maintenance request work orders from all departments in a timely basis

  • Performing preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis

  • Ensuring that equipment is working properly

  • Completing other special projects as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor

Job Requirements

The ideal Maintenance Engineer candidate will have previous hotel experience. We are looking for a high energy, motivated individual who will take ownership and who has the organization skills to manage several tasks at once.

The minimum qualifications for the Maintenance Engineer position are:

  • Basic knowledge of painting, drywall, HVAC, and plumbing is preferred

  • General knowledge of machines and basic hand and power tools

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy

  • Ability to stand, walk and move around during entire shift

  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull items that weigh up to 100 pounds

  • Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions, receive job assignments and communicate progress and/or completion of assignment, and basic guest requests

  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends

VIEW JOBS 4/23/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-22T00:00 The primary responsibility of Process Maintenance is to maximize equipment availability for processing by safely maintaining all process equipment through Predictive, Preventive and Corrective maintenance. In support of these activities, Process Maintenance provides personnel 24 hours/day, 7 days per week, for maintenance, discrepancy response, contractor oversight, vendor resource management, project support and training. Job Responsibilities Technical: N2: * Maintenance and repair of manufacturing process equipment, facilities systems and construction, support equipment, utility equipment and systems, and HVAC/R equipment and systems * Repair and replace facility finishes including paint, caulk, wall bumper systems, and wainscoting * Exhibit detail oriented documentation skills to ensure Right-First-Time operations * Escalate process issues as necessary to ensure resolution of issue * Comply with cGMP, SOP and manufacturing documentation. * Assistance with systems start-up and validation * Timely completion of tasks and work orders with appropriate documentation according to standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines, practices, and policies. * Safe operation of tools and shop equipment, and safe execution of work in the field. * Computer skill level appropriate to navigate and use corporate intranet and related applications, CMMS, and standard word processing and spreadsheet programs. * Ability to interact and communicate appropriately with Manufacturing, Quality, Technology, Engineering, and other departments to ensure satisfactory performance of instruments and systems. N3 – N2 plus the following: * Collection and organization of technical data from equipment manufacturers, equipment users, and engineering personnel. * * Troubleshooting and modification of process systems and support utilities. * Train other mechanics in group and individual settings * Evaluate, review Standard Operating Procedures content and red line where appropriate. N4 – N3 plus the following: * Represent Maintenance and Calibrations on multidisciplinary project teams. * Serve as an example and advocate of ingrained quality * Champion safety improvements and encourages safe work practices in department * Contribute to a LEAN work environment by acting as a change agent and utilizing OE Tools * Demonstrate Roche Leadership Competencies within Department and to the site * Be able to act as SME to regulatory agencies * Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex process issues * Back up Supervisor for shift assignments * Assist training coordinator in the development of training content and practices. Job Requirements Education: * High School Diploma or GED. * Completion of a Maintenance (2-year) or AA/AS degree at a technical school with 2 years' experience as a maintenance mechanic equivalency preferred. Experience: N2: * 2-4 years' experience in an industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment. * At least 1-year experience in a GMP environment N3: * 5-6 years' experience in an industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment. * At least 2-3 years' experience in a GMP environment N4: * Minimum of 7 years' experience in an industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment. * At least 3-5 years' experience in a GMP environment Knowledge/Skills/Competencies: * Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, engineering documents and schematics. * Knowledge of the fundamental operating principles of industrial process instrumentation and systems. * Basic computer skills, with the ability to utilize the corporate intranet and applications, CMMS and standard word processing and spreadsheet programs. * Fabrication: Partner with customers by engineering and providing solutions through the fabrication of tools and devices designed to increase safety and productivity. * Inspection: Partner with MRO Stores to provide receipt inspection of critical assets to ensure replacement parts are viable when installed in plant systems. * Rebuild: Rebuild/refurbish assets pulled from the field that require scheduled preventive maintenance and/or repair and return those assets to stock for reuse at a later date. * Roche is an equal opportunity employer.
