Who you are

You're a dependable, self-starter with experience in building and property maintenance. You quickly identify issues and recommend corrective measures to ensure quality and safety. You have a strong work ethic and bring a positive, customer-centric approach to your work, whether it's responding to an emergency request, working through light construction projects, preventative maintenance or conducting regular inspections.

What you bring:

  • 1+ years of experience in commercial building/property maintenance.

  • Solid working knowledge of HVAC systems/maintenance, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems and other building mechanical equipment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel).

  • Flexibility in work schedule - available for off-hours emergency response.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Bonus skills and experience:

  • Minimum OSHA 10 hour General Industry Safety Training is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of work order and preventative maintenance software systems

  • Experience with painting, drywall and light carpentry/construction projects

  • CFC Universal Certification an asset.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Troubleshoot, modify, and maintain control system programs using DeltaV, Rockwell PLCs, and other systems * Diagnose/resolve plant electrical, instrumentation, and process control/automation equipment issues * Develop and implement equipment modifications and instrumentation specifications for various process applications/or replacements * Maintain and update plant instrument database * In depth knowledge of process instrumentation/analytical instrumentation, motor controls, process control, calibration, cGMP, process data historians, PID control, continuous and batch automation, control valves, chemical manufacturing equipment, National Electric Code, electrical hazard location requirements, NFPA 85, ISA 88 batch model, personal computers * Must be able to read and create electrical schematics, instrument loop diagrams, and P&IDs * Must be able to create User Requirement Specifications, Functional Specifications, and Design Specifications in a cGMP environment, as well as write corresponding validation qualification documentation * Familiarity with process hazard analysis, layers of protection analysis, safety instrumented systems, computer networking, work station and server virtualization * Provide project support for capital and expense projects * Provide technical support for weekend/off-shift coverage as needed * Develop, maintain, and perform predictive and preventive maintenance * Determine equipment spare parts requirements * Develop and maintain plant electrical and instrumentation standards * Review/respond/approve/execute corrective actions for Enablon(safety), CAPA, and Change Control items * Initiate/review/modify preventive maintenance instructions as necessary MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: * B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent plant electrical engineering, instrumentation and process control/automation experience preferred Experience: * Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Manufacturing Environment, Chemical and or Pharmaceutical Plan Skills/Qualifications: * Experience with DeltaV and Rockwell Contrologix configuration * Experience with server virtualization and networking * Experience with data historians (PI) * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Maximo * Good working knowledge of National Electrical Code * Knowledge of FDA, cGMP, regulations a plus Other Skills: * Self-motivated and highly organized * Excellent problem solving and time management skills * Excellent written and oral communication skills OPERATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: High degree of collaboration required on a regular on-going basis. The Project Engineering Manager reports to the Maintenance, Utilities, and Engineering Manager. WORKING CONDITIONS: Most work will be performed in a manufacturing plant construction site setting.
