Location: Toledo, Ohio
Reports to: Plant Manager
SCOPE OF POSITION
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Department in all activities including the mechanical integrity program. They will support and participate in the Responsible Care Program to ensure safe working conditions and ensure the site follows the Management of Change (MOC) process for all changes made to equipment, procedures and personnel.
Develop, execute, and monitor capital appropriation requests and projects
Provide support to maintenance supervisor and employees including vacation relief, technical assistance, equipment troubleshooting, and maintenance initiated projects
Support the development and adherence to equipment and piping specifications
Develop and execute predictive preventative maintenance programs
Failure analysis of plant equipment
Develop inspection criteria for PSM and other equipment
Support and monitor mechanical integrity activities for PSM compliance
Support Responsible Care Activities
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (will consider Chemical) from an accredited university
3-5 years of manufacturing experience in a chemical, petro-chemical, refining, steel processing, pulp/paper environment
Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, etc.) is a plus
Must be a team player, able to direct and lead others
Must be self-motivated with excellent communication and problem solving skills.
