Pay Range - $23.77 - $28.41- ( +$1.50 shift differential ) pay based upon skill level
Performs all preventive and predictive maintenance.
Responsible for performing maintenance on trouble-shooting equipment.
PLC based controls and ladder logic.
Performs all general maintenance duties when assigned by the department
supervisor.
Mechanical skills needed include:
power transmission, drives and conveyors
fans, drives and operation theory
hand tools and their use
general metal working knowledge
boiler operation and maintenance
basic welding theory and application
cutting torch
hydraulics and pneumatics
Understands LINKS work order/PM System documents and procedures.
TPMs are a part of every position in the mill. This may include mandatory overtime for completion of TPM tasks.
Understands facility fire protection systems, alarms, and controls, including spark
suppression system and related controls.
SAFETY
Assist in creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
Works with others to identify, eliminate, reduce, or control safety hazards. LOTO and other plant specific trainings to keep ones self-safe must be done.
Take steps to ensure that every job is safe and completed to the latest workplace safety regulations, laws, and requirements.
Faulty work can cause an injury.
Constant attention to activities of the job as well as the people and activities around the operator.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Employee works in an environment that includes dust, hot and cold temperatures due to weather conditions.
Ability to lift and / or move at minimum 100 lbs.
QUALITY
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma and a two-year technical degree are preferred.
A minimum of three years' experience in troubleshooting equipment is preferred.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
