As a Maintenance Electrician you will work as part of the Maintenance Department, responsible for maintaining equipment associated with the production, packaging and distribution of Kimberly Clark Products through preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance.

This position requires the following demonstrated skills/abilities:

  • Work safely and protect the safety of others. Actively participate in a High-Performance Work Team environment, sharing knowledge and skills with all other team members

  • Support the planning and execution of daily/weekly preventative maintenance activities including work and parts preparation. Actively participate in failure analysis and equipment/ systems troubleshooting.

  • Provide routine maintenance training to team members. Participate in cost effective decision making, identifying and maintaining critical spare part inventory levels. Lead and execute repairs on high speed manufacturing equipment.

  • Actively participates in the design, implementation and upgrade of all reliability programs

  • Set up and operate all types of mechanical tools which could include general machinist tools and alignment devices

  • Read blue prints and related technical literature as required. Fabricate parts, form blue prints and sketches

  • Ability/willingness to learn Microsoft Windows-based computer systems and Kimberly Clark specific systems such as SAP, TALCM and DTR

  • Proficiencies in the assembly, disassembly and installation of mechanical systems and components commonly found on high speed rotating equipment and safe execution of rigging and large equipment transportation

The Following Qualifications are needed to get started:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Journeyman Electrician State Certification OR successful completion of a formal four-year apprenticeship

  • Three (3) years of verifiable work experience as an electrician

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime

  • Ability to work at heights, in pits and confined spaces

  • Understanding of predictive, preventative maintenance concepts and commitment to continuing education

  • Successful candidates will have strong communication, leadership, self-motivation, problem solving, decision-making skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a willingness and commitment to work as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Experience with high speed manufacturing and converting equipment

  • Previous experience with computer managed maintenance systems such as SAP

  • Programming Rockwell PLC, VFDrives and HMI software required: RSLogix5000, RSLogix 5, Review Factory Talk (Control Logix, GuardLogix, PLC5, PanelView, Networks: EtherNet, DH+, RIO, PowerFlex and other Rockwell drives)

  • In addition to PLC knowledge, specific trade experience in general electrical maintenance, instrumentation, DCS, and low to medium voltage electrical work experience is desirable

Job Description ROLE OVERVIEW ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN * An Electrical Technician supports maintenance of all machinery and equipment in the facility. The hours of this position are Monday - Friday from 6 am - 2 pm, with occasional adjustments due to projects. * WHAT YOU GET TO DO * Responsible for following all plant and department specific safety rules, procedures, and programs. Wearing all required personal protective equipment for all plant, department, and task specific requirements. * Review all SDS's for chemicals prior to initial use. * Responsible for reporting all injuries, near misses and property damage incidents to the Shift Supervisor prior to the end of the shift on the day of the incident. * Provides daily maintenance for the plant, performs electrical and preventive (PM) maintenance functions. * Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. * Repair pumps, blowers, drives, heaters, dies, gearboxes and PLC's. * Disassemble, clean and reassemble production machinery. * Comply with all 5S and CI initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work). * Develop and administer controls related training for the maintenance technicians * All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management. WHAT WE VALUE * Safety Background/Understanding – Understanding of OSHA requirements, developing a good safety culture, and implementing safety improvements * Excellent interpersonal skills – maintaining a good relationship with the dairy host, the community, and employees will be essential to success. * Ability to read blueprints and schematics. * In depth knowledge of electronic systems, PLC's, VFD, Servo Drives and electrical systems. * Knowledge in Parker SSD Drives or similar programming and configuration experience. * Knowledge of Allen-Bradley software including RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000 and others. * Knowledge of PC communication such as Ethernet and serial communications * Support and solve complex issues that exceed the everyday scope of the maintenance group. * Research and supply alterative solutions for discontinued and end of life parts that will cause unexpected downtime if gone unchecked. * Have prior knowledge of pressure, level and flow transmitters and a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. * Trained in electrical safety – arc flash, LOTO * Ability to use a computerized work order system (SAP a plus) * Time management and problem-solving ability * High attention to detail and judgment based on written procedures and guidelines * Ability to work well with others and cooperate with team members and leadership team * Good English communication skills, both written and verbal * Familiarity with computer aided drawing software. * Ability to use various hand tools, multi-meters, computers and oscilloscopes. * Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work in a team environment.
