Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality (EHSQ) Compliance.
Analyzes mechanical, electrical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans and performs appropriate repairs and adjustments.
Performs routine preventive or predictive maintenance tasks.
Test process equipment after repairs to verify equipment performance.
Ability to use and maintain tools required to perform assigned equipment repairs, including power tools, cutting tools, welders, measurement tools, rigging, shop equipment, electrical measuring devices, laser alignment, etc.
Reads, understands and interprets equipment files, work orders, OEM manuals, blueprints, troubleshooting guides, parts lists, repair instructions, etc.
Communicates and interfaces with equipment vendors and suppliers.
Proper completion of all required documentation including storeroom withdrawals, work orders, time distribution cards, pre-safety checklist, safety permits, drawings updates, etc.
Effectively communicates with production personnel and maintenance supervision regarding equipment availability and repairs.
Notifies maintenance supervision of recurring equipment malfunctions and repair recommendations.
Instructs and trains other maintenance employees or maintenance helpers.
Performs incidental lubrication tasks to complete equipment repairs.
Areas of housekeeping and sanitation responsibility
Areas surrounding the repair work and after the completion of the repair task.
Maintenance shop including safety equipment.
Maintenance carts, scooters, shuttle lift, man lifts, etc.
Parts storage areas.
Proper relief and appropriate communication between shifts.
Efficient management of time and resources to meet maintenance schedules and daily goals.
Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
High-school education or equivalent.
Minimum of five years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment and/or the equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
Satisfactory completion of the Mapleton maintenance training program including skill testing.
Basic understanding of process equipment.
Ability to understand and troubleshoot a distributed process control system and associated hardware components.
Ability to understand and operate a personal computer and associated software systems.
Ability to manage time and determine priorities in order to meet daily maintenance and production goals.
Ability to understand and carry out routine verbal and written instructions.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
