Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Maintenance Electrician 3 for a full-time position in Palmdale, CA.
This position repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment. Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit. Cuts wire and conduit to length. Installs, repairs, or replaces switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords. Disassembles motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair. Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency. Uses blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices.
Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of electrical maintenance and/or construction experience
Must have an current electrician certification
Must be able to read blueprints, be comfortable working in confined spaces and with a respirator, be comfortable working at heights - up to 100 feet and any other duties as necessary assigned
The ability to work 1st shift (5 am - 3:30 pm) on a Monday through Thursday (4/10 schedule) and flexible to any other work schedule
The ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance and special program access
Arc Flash training
OSHA 30 training
Current DoD Secret clearance
