Supervise electrical maintenance personnel and to assist in coordinating activities of the electrical department. To ensure all electrical equipment is maintained in safe, efficient operating condition.
This position is working for DPI, Decorative Panels, Alpena MI. DPI is under the LWTA umbrella of companies.
Supervise Electrical department personnel, including training, performance management and scheduling activities. Assist with hiring process.
Ensure compliance with all safety, health and environmental rules and regulations.
Oversee department inventory and inventory control.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
Work cooperatively with other departments to meet plant objectives, diagnose complex equipment problems, and meet plant goals.
Use various equipment to determine cause of electrical problems.
Assist in manufacturing, repair and installation of electrical equipment.
Participate in process improvement, cost reduction and continuous improvement projects.
Maintain knowledge of industry-wide technological developments.
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
Knowledge of heavy industrial electrical equipment, operations and predictive/preventative maintenance systems.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of safety and environmental requirements.
Knowledge of current management and supervisory techniques.

2 years' technical or vocational school.
Bachelors Degree Preferred
Experience supervising state licensed electricians
Experience working with the national electrical code and other applicable codes.
3 to 5 years' electrical/mechanical maintenance systems experience.
Demonstrated supervisory or lead experience.
Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
