Maintenance Director

Position Description

The Maintenance Director is responsible for organizing and implementing all

facility and equipment maintenance and repair requirements.

Applicants from inside and outside the YMCA profession are welcome. Demonstrated personal involvement and leadership in a related role is expected of all applicants.

The Maintenance Director must lead by personal example by understanding and incorporating the Y mission in daily life especially focused on the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

PAY: $50, 500- $56 500

Essential Duties

1.Must have a basic knowledge of plumbing, domestic water systems, slush valves, pool pumps, pool heaters, back-flow preventers, booster pumps, gas hot water heaters, irrigation pumps/controls, and wet retention ponds.

2.Must have basic knowledge of life/safety, fire sprinkler systems, voice over fire alarm, PA systems, exit lighting and epdm roofing.

3.Must have basic knowledge of commercial HVAC including heat pumps and gas/electric package units, swimming pool dehumidification, ventilation fans, duct work and thermostats.

4.Must have knowledge of required inspections for buildings as A1 large assembly, swimming pool inspections, and Certified Pool Operator (CPO).

5.Must have basic knowledge of paint, concrete/asphalt maintenance, flooring surfaces, housekeeping procedures, and daily maintenance of strength and cardio equipment.

6.Assists in the YMCA fund raising activities and special events

7.Evenings and weekends are required for this position

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; two-year

related experience and/or training.
