Position Summary

The Maintenance Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Maintenance department in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years' maintenance experience

  • Must have proven knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

  • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Must be knowledgeable of local building codes and ordinances

Specific Job Requirements

  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action

  • Must be knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility

  • Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department

  • Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation

  • Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information

  • Must understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures

  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to plan, supervise, and direct maintenance programs

  • Must be able to schedule preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements

  • Must be able to inspect equipment/systems regular for proper functioning and safety

  • Must be able to run errands, handing incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipment

  • Must be able to recruit, select, hire, evaluate, train, counsel, and supervise maintenance staff

  • Must be able to perform duties as a Maintenance Assistant as needed

  • Must be able to effectively manage and operate within budget

  • Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients

  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of patients

  • Must demonstrate dependable, regular attendance

  • Must be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment

  • Must be able to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team

  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Responsibilities * Consistently and courteously greet and thank each customer and provide fast and friendly customer service. * Promote sales through use of suggestive selling techniques as instructed by store manager. * Conduct efficient and accurate sales transactions; notify store manager of any sales, cash or operating discrepancies; generate accurate and legible shift reports. * Handle complaints courteously and efficiently according to company policy. * Maintain a clean environment, using company guidelines. Job Requirements * Legal authorization to work in the United States * At least 18 years of age * No felony convictions to comply with Lottery sales regulations * Availability to work weekends and holidays * Reliable transportation to work * Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check * Ability to exchange accurate information with Break Time customers in English * Capability to learn new concepts and use technical materials * Ability to perform mathematical calculations in order to make change, complete shift reports and account for numbers of products during vendor check in * Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery * Physical ability to move and position self to move and retrieve products and supplies form shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing up to 50 pounds * Physical ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift * Ability to visually observe and inspect items and work environment for regular job responsibilities and safety concerns * Physical ability to move and position products in cooler with temps as low as 30 degrees for up to 1 hour * Physical ability to move and position products in the freezer with temps as low as 0 degrees for up to 10 minutes * Willingness to occasionally ascends/descends ladders to handle inventory or products Preferred Skills * Ability to work well with others * Ability to work at a fast pace * Sales abilities * Enthusiastic personality * Stamina MFA Oil Carrollton MO
