What You'll Do:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and equipped to perform their duties effectively.

  • Resident Satisfaction: Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere for residents by addressing their maintenance concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Taking Care of Business: Plan, schedule, and oversee all maintenance and repair activities within the facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.

  • Money Matters: Keep an eye on the cash flow by handling the maintenance budget. Estimate costs, track expenses, and find ways to save.

  • Emergency Hero: Be our hero during tough times. Develop plans to handle emergencies like power outages or bad weather.

What You Bring:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree or certification in facilities management, engineering, or a related field is a bonus!

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures, including plumbing, electrical, HVAX, and general building maintenance. Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to facility maintenance.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in facility maintenance: long-term care facility, hospital, or senior living experience.

  • Positive Attitude: Maintain an optimistic and uplifting demeanor even in challenging situations. Quality is vital for fostering a harmonious work environment, enhancing resident well-being, and promoting effective teamwork within a senior citizen care facility.
