Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent HVAC certification preferred not required

• Phsically and technically able to perform the essential functions of the position, which include but are not limited to:

• Boiler maintenance and operations

• Electrical distribution system maintenance and operations

• Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system maintenance and operations

• Mechanical equipment maintenance and operations

• Small appliance repair

• Basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and outside work

• Masonry, metal work, glazing, tile work, roofing, flooring and basic welding

• Ability to lift 50 pounds

• Ability to work either independently or as part of a team

• Ability to read and explain basic operating instructions and blueprints

• Possess a valid Illinois Drivers License

• Ability to supervise custodial and grounds staff
