The Maintenance Coordinator manages and maintains the Marketing and Research Center (MRC) facility via the Leader Standard Work to ensure employee/visitor safety and security, asset reliability and security, regulatory compliance, customer readiness and efficient, cost-effective operations.

How you'll shape the future of the Marketing and Research Center (MRC):

  • Actively supports all safety and housekeeping programs to control hazards, eliminate injuries and ensure regulatory compliance. Serves as a role model for safe work practices and behaviors. Maintains the MRC facility and building systems with safety as the highest priority. Complies with all safety requirements and policies (Lockout/Tagout confined space, etc.) and supports the Safety Coordinator as requested.

  • Develops and manages the Maintenance budget for MRC. Monitors and approves MRC utility/repair bills.

  • Coordinates and manages all shipping and receiving activities for MRC including product samples, hazardous chemicals and coordination with Jesup Mill stores. Operates MRC forklift as required.

  • Manages all facility preventative maintenance and repair activities and new equipment installation including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection systems, boilers, flooring, ceilings, walls, stairs, windows, and elevator systems. Selects, directs, and coordinates related contractors.

  • Manages facility service contracts for pest control, janitorial services, landscaping, and waste disposal.

  • Manages and improves security and fire protection systems. Serves as primary contact with insurance carriers.

  • Ensures safe and effective operations of the semiworks equipment and elevator. Calibrates lab instruments as needed.

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable building codes, safety and environmental regulations, RYAM policies and RYAM's Standard of Ethics and Code of Corporate Conduct.

  • Maintains chemical and deionized water inventories and reorders as needed.

  • Manages and maintains MRC vehicles.

  • Provides general facility support as requested, including office reassignment and reconfiguration, furniture moving, new furniture and equipment installation, safety/environmental needs. Performs other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business objectives.

  • All other facility related duties and projects as assigned, which may include meeting arrangements and room set-up, special MRC events, document and records management, office equipment maintenance, and running errands.

You'll be someone who can bring:

  • High School Diploma. 2-year Associate Degree or other technical training in mechanical/electrical strongly preferred.

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance and management required.

  • Knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques, safety systems, electrical/mechanical/HVAC systems, work orders and asset management systems.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
