An exciting opportunity exists for a Maintenance Combustion Technician to join our Tacoma Foundry. The Maintenance Combustion Technician's role is to construct, maintain and test electrical equipment, machinery, and components. Conducts preventative maintenance and identifies parts for replacement.
SHIFT: 1st Shift 6:00a-2:30p
WAGE: $20.73-31.57 (per CBA)
SIGN ON BONUS: $1,000
HOT JOB BONUS: $2,500
Nature and Scope:
The Combustion Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor / Manager and is responsible for preventative maintenance and following work instructions in a safe and timely manner. As the Combustion Tech you would be expected to perform repairs, modifications, and new parts installations on existing equipment while also carrying out electrical preventive maintenance on equipment per the schedule and work instructions provided. Within the job as the Combustion Tech you would install of all components within a gas fired combustion system.
Key Selection Criteria Required:
Previous history working as a combustion technician
Background as one of the following: Electrician, Millwright or Mechanic
Experienced with AC or DC to 480V 3 phase electrical systems
Working knowledge of ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) skills preferred
