Maintenance Carpenter, FT, Days (7am - 3:30pm)Southwest HospitalJob DescriptionPosition responsible for maintenance of existing carpentry work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.


Experience / Knowledge /

Skills:
  • Five years commercial carpentry experience.

  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and/or written instructions.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Installs sheetrock, ceilings, ceiling grids and floor hinges; lays, replaces or patches formica, floors, base and roofs; lays out walls; set door frames; fits and hangs doors repairing if necessary.

  • Repairs carpet, furniture, windows, partitions and cabinets and other maintenance jobs.

  • Calculates quantity of materials needed and requisitions lumber, hardware, and other supplies.

  • Ensures safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.

  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.
