In this role you will:

  • Learn about LASER and Ballbar diagnostic tools for implementing Geometric and servo control compensations on CNC equipment within 1 / 10,000 of an inch.

  • Utilize Ladder logic troubleshooting techniques for fault analysis and corrections.

  • Service Hydraulics, Pneumatics, HVAC and Chiller systems.

  • Engage in extensive use of Multi-Meters, Digital storage scopes, Thermal cameras and vibration analyzers, Meg-Ohm meters and other related Technician tools.


We are looking for a Maintenance Associate/Specialist to: perform all aspects of corrective and preventative maintenance on all types of CNC (Computerized Numerical Controlled) and manual controlled machine tools and facilities equipment.

You will need: Minimum of 2 yrs.

Experience in Industrial machine maintenance or be enrolled or have a technical training certificate from a reputable technical trade institution. Experience in Maintenance of CNC and/or Manual controlled metal working machine tools is preferred. Training in Electrical Systems or instrumentation and process controls is required, and a basic understanding of hydraulic systems is preferred.

You should have: experience using hand and power tools and must have fundamental understanding of AC and DC electrical systems and related components. Must have an understanding of mechanical and electrical measurement . Must be able to work efficiently in a Team environment. Must understand and follow all safety rules and regulations.

As a paid staff member, you will support our loyal Red Cross disaster volunteers who serve selflessly to provide a bridge of assistance until individuals and families can resume a normal life. Our disaster volunteers are the heart and soul of our mission to respond to emergencies and provide relief to victims of disasters. They serve in a number of capacities, including Disaster Action Team Member, Disaster Assessment, Caseworker, Mass Care Feeding, Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) Driver, Shelter Manager/Staff, Disaster Health Services and Disaster Mental Health. We are currently seeking a General Maintenance Technician (Yakima, WA) to work in our Yakima, WA office. This position will work 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, and some weekends and evenings will be required during times of business need. Travel will also be involved up to 15% of the time. Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses hand and power tools. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. May train or check the work of other facilities staff. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Maintain and repair organization's facilities and properties involving routine tasks and responsibilities. Paints structures and equipment as needed. Repairs appliances and equipment. May move and store furniture and equipment. Install and correct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems. Operate and service boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps and related mechanical equipment Estimate time and material costs of various projects. Requisition new supplies and equipment. Document installation and repairs as required by regulatory agencies. May drive vehicle to other locations. May plant and tend flowerbeds. Prune shrubs and trees to enhance growth and appearance. May water lawns, shrubs and flowerbeds. May spray trees, lawns, shrubs and flower beds with fertilizer and insecticides. May rake and remove fallen leaves. May sweep external walkways and staircases. May remove snow using power removal equipment or shovel. Apply snow-melting chemical when necessary on company roads, walkways and outside staircases. May keep drainage ditches and culverts free of obstructions. Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. * -------------------------- Scope: Learning aspects of the job.
