What you would be doing:

The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in our residents' experience by maintaining a clean and safe, homelike environment for them, their family members and their guests; as well as for your team members. Each day is different with a mix of long term and quick fix projects. Projects you may be working on include plumbing, electrical, dry wall, painting, equipment repair and maintenance and facilitation of preventative maintenance programs such as Life Safety Code (LSC) tasks. And, the best part is the relationship you gain with the residents and your team members.

What your work schedule would be:

This is a full-time position that typically works during traditional business hours with an alternating weekend schedule. Some schedule variations during non-traditional work hours will occur to respond to emergency situations and special projects.

The successful candidate:

  • Has a minimum of one (1) year physical plant and equipment experience in an institutional environment. Preferably in a health care setting.

  • Preferably has a high school diploma or GED and/or vocational training in skilled trade or other relevant training.

  • Experience with TELs
