Perform maintenance and repairs to the facility and equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and logic systems.
Fabrication and welding of metal structures.
Responsible for securing, leveling, aligning and the mechanical hookups during machine installations.
Communicate well with operators, engineers, electricians, etc.
Dismantle and reassemble machines needing repairs and overhauls.
Read and interpret drawings, sketches, specifications and instruction manuals.
Use hand and power tools and operate and understand support equipment.
Ability to work under dirty conditions and in awkward positions while working on equipment and machines.
Read and use micrometers, calipers and dial indicators.
Troubleshoot equipment without documentations.
Understanding speeds and feeds of tooling.
Operate and understand the operation of support equipment.
Proceed on assignments with minimum supervision and guidance.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Diploma or G.E.D.
Successful completion of an apprentice program.
The ability to cross train on all types of plant equipment to gain dual trades machine specific experience with electrical and mechanical repairs.
Take plant specific dual trades courses at KVCC if not already taken in the apprenticeship program you have already completed.
Gain experience on multiple shifts to understand plant shutdown and startup processes unique to each shift.
Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule
This position has a base pay range of $25.71-$28.64 per hour. This position also includes Pension, 401 (k) company match, full health benefits package and profit sharing. Applicants must be able to support a 3 shift environment with possible OT and weekend coverage.
