JOB TITLE: Maintainer Instructor Howitzer Series

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Project Manager Towed Artillery Systems (PM TAS) requires personnel to conduct product support services for the M777 howitzer series, M119 howitzer series, Mobile Howitzer series, M111 survey system series, and future survey programs, as well as, potential future updates to these systems. These services include Digital Retrofit activities, Equipment Training activities, and Field Support activities that support the PM TAS mission. This effort is to be performed at PM TAS satellite offices located at Fort Sill, OK and Yuma Proving Ground, AZ.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • WBBs Maintainer Instructor will train designated personnel on safe maintenance of the M777 howitzer series, M119 howitzer series, Mobile Howitzer series, to include the Training Aids Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS)

  • Our Maintainer Instructor will be cross- trained to be able to instruct the M777 howitzer series, M119 howitzer series, Mobile Howitzer series, Digital Maintainer and Optical Fire Control (OFC)

  • Digital Maintainer instruction includes operating a laptop computer with MS Windows suite, executing programs in the Operating System (OS) environment, and following Technical Manual directed, mid-level complexity, electronic troubleshooting procedures

  • Our Maintainer Instructor will conduct any necessary repairs and shall assist with prime mover upgrades and equipment retrofit

  • Our Maintainer Instructor shall assist the Logistician ship, track, and issue replacement Line Replaceable Units (LRU)s for Equipment Training activities. The program of instruction (POI) will be provided by PM TAS

  • This position is located in Ft. Sill, OK

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active DoD Security Clearance

  • A minimum of five years operational / maintenance experience on M777A2 and/or M119A3; minimum of 2 years formal instructor experience

  • Ability to travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations up to 80 percent

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • DoD additional skill identifier for Instructor, or requisite documented training and certification.

  • Knowledge of SharePoint
