Maint Boiler Operator

2nd Shift / Full Time/ 40 hours

Summary:

Assumes responsibility for operation of the boiler plant and all associated equipment. Provides support and assistance, as appropriate and trains, to other skilled trade personnel engaged in maintenance activities.

Minimum Education:

a. High school level coursework in English Grammar, composition, and basic mathematics.

Minimum Work Experience:

a. One (1) year experience operating high pressure boilers in a large institution or commercial facility.

b. Current license for high pressure boiler operation.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

a. Ability to plan, prioritize workload, and effectively resolve problems.

b. Ability to communicate effectively with health care professionals, engineers, contractors, and staff.

c. Ability to analyze data, diagnose and troubleshoot complex systems and equipment.

d. Ability to operate DOS and windows based Direct Digital control systems.

e. Ability to effectively interact with patient/customers (i.e., neonates/newborns, children, adolescents, young adult, middle-aged adults, as applicable) with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

f. Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy.

g. Population-Specific Competency: ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

$25.92/hr - $31.10/hr

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
