Install, support, customize, test, implement and document IBM mainframe IMS and CICS system software and related program products in a global environment.
Develop, test and implement system modifications and support procedures. Prepare documentation describing local modifications and procedures.
Respond to system trouble notifications. Analyze, debug and correct system software problems. When needed, interface with IBM, software vendors, data center and customer personnel to resolve issues.
Provide customer support for application launches.
Participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and testing.
Evaluate software products and make acquisition recommendations to management.
Participate in Proof of Concept projects for modernization of IMS and CICS environments.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide after hours and weekend support.
Mainframe software IMS, CICS, z/OS, JES, VTAM, TCP/IP, RACF, TSO/ISPF, COBOL, REXX, JCL and Unix System Services
Ability to drive internal efficiencies
Ability to learn new skills quickly
Capable of handling multiple tasks
Enjoyment of problem resolution type of work
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience with HTML, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Understanding of monitoring the production environments
Working knowledge of Security and Controls, ITPM and Sarbanes-Oxley policies
At least 4 years of prior experience in IT Operations or other infrastructure support
Working knowledge of Tivoli Omegamon, RACF, CICS or IMS in a JES2 or JES3 environment
