As a result of growth and transformation initiatives, CCB Credit Card Services has an additional opening for a Software Engineer that aligns with our Agile transformation initiative for a T-Shaped Technologist. The position will primarily be responsible for developing and maintaining programs for our Credit Card Mainframe Authorizations platform. As a Software Engineer in the Card Services line of business, you will work as part of an Agile IT application development team and gain an understanding of the design, analysis, development, coding, testing and application programming to satisfy business and functional requirements for any assigned projects.

Core Principles include:

  • Innovate faster through automating and streamlining the software development and infrastructure management processes.

  • Support continuous integration and delivery through an Agile environment in order to find and address defects quicker, improve software quality, and reduce the time it takes to validate and release new software to our business partners and customers.

  • Monitor metrics and logs to see how applications and infrastructure performance impacts the experience of end users.

  • Use communication and collaboration to set strong cultural norms around information sharing and facilitating communication through the use of chat applications, issue or project tracking systems, and wikis to align more closely on goals and projects across an Agile environment.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems

  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages (preferably COBOL, Java, JavaScript)

  • Experience across distributed and mainframe applications

  • Experience with mainframe technology and associated version and change management tools, including Subversion, Changeman, Endevor and associated plug-ins

  • Experience with Jenkins/Maven or other build tools

  • General experience with SQL

  • Experience with agile methodology and Atlassian tools like Jira, confluence

  • Knowledge of Security, Authentication, and Encryption is a plus

  • Experience with deployment automation and orchestration is a plus

  • knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium/grid, jUnit, Cucumber) is a plus
