Join our team as a Part-Time Mailroom Clerk!

As a Mailroom Office Clerk, you would be responsible for general mailroom functions, and the shipping and receiving of corporate office materials and merchandise. Assist the local office in the compiling and maintenance of office activities and business transactions. Additionally, this position acts as a backup for reception duties for your location as needed.

This position is part time (20-24 hours per week).

Responsibilities:

  • Daily travel to the local post office and or bank.

  • Opens, sorts, and distributes all incoming mail and UPS parcels for corporate office.

  • Assembles and mails, twice a week, mail to out branches.

  • Processes all other outgoing corporate office mail daily.

  • Maintain postage meter to ensure adequate postage availability.

  • Collect monies and make bank deposits.

  • Complete all reports in conjunction with daily UPS shipments.

  • Maintain inventory of necessary materials (boxes, envelopes, etc.) for shipping.

  • Order and deliver office supplies as requested.

  • Answer telephone and greet guests in a professional manner.

  • Route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested, including:

  • Receives and routes incoming calls.

  • Greets all walk-in customers and guests.

  • Organizes and routes messages to their respective parties or departments.

  • Performs clerical duties such as typing letters and memos, collating mailings, stuffing envelopes, photocopying, sorting mail, and light bookkeeping.

  • Manages office inventory and stationery supplies.

  • Maintains and represents company values with all external customers.

  • Other receptionist duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • At least 1 year of experience in an office environment

  • Competent computer skills, including experience with MS Office Suite

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

  • Effective customer service and communication skills

  • Familiarity with standard office equipment

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $14.13 - $17.50
