Pitney Bowes is now hiring for Direct Hire Full Time Warehouse Presort Mail Sorters in our Grand Prairie, TX facility.

3rd shift: Tuesday-Saturday, 12:30 am - 8:30 am

Base Rate: $14.50/hr

$2.00/hr additional for 3rd shift

You Are:

An individual who enjoys a fast paced, physical production environment while developing new skills in the mailing industry. You are a hard-working and vital contributor to our company's success in meeting productivity standards and customer satisfaction ratings.

You will:

  • Prepare outgoing metered mail by reviewing proper date, postage, and good quality barcodes prior to being placed into production.

  • Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes found in the mail.

  • Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machine.

  • Perform all additional duties as required.

As a Warehouse Mail Sorter, you have:

  • The ability to understand and follow safety and other operational directions in English, or translated from English, irrespective of your native language?

  • The ability to work overtime which may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice.

  • The ability to be dependable and reliable.

Preferred:

  • Mailroom, warehouse or equivalent experience preferred.

Physical demands and abilities:

  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations.

  • The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.

Pitney Bowes Presort Services performs mail sorting; performing some of the work that would typically be performed by the USPS. For completing this work, Presort Services receives discounted postage rates. By performing this sorting work on behalf of our clients, we are able to share a portion of that discount with them. We provide mailers with end-to-end solutions from pick-up at their location into delivery into the postal system network, providing optimal postage savings.

(For example: Industrial shirt versus executive dress shirts)</p></li><li><p>Separate soil pick-up tickets</p></li><li><p>Check for needed repairs on items</p></li><li><p>Lift garments and/or linen onto line storage system</p></li><li><p>Trolley garments and/or linen for truck pick-up.</p></li><li><p>Load trollies into trailers.</p></li><li><p>Insure colleagues practice safety procedures at all times.</p></li><li><p>Additional duties as assigned</p></li></ul><p>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS</p><ul><li><p>High school diploma or general education degree (GED)</p></li><li><p>Experience working with plant equipment/machinery highly desired</p></li></ul><p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
