Keep a record of all mail and package received using the computer system to identify the date of receipt, where and who sent to for easy identification.
Sort packages and group them into different categories for easy dispatch and safe keep
Collect mail and packages from staff in the organization, and coordinate international shipments according to guidelines of destination
Interface with clients, vendors, and carriers professionally to maintain chain of custody and freight tracking
Work with courier services and postal offices to ensure prompt delivery and keep updated on quality of service delivery
Answer inquiries from the employee's tofill relevant details in distribution and shipping forms and provide accurate information to ensure a positive experience on request
Maintain supplies, including shipping and mailing envelopes, boxes, markers, forms stickers, and tape available to ensure that they don't go out of stock
Keep the mailroom organized by adequately arranging the bundles of mail and packages coming in to prevent littering and jam-packing in the office space
Present a professional appearance and exhibit excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication with internal and external clients
A clear sense of integrity, work ethic, and sincere interest in building strong relationships
Provide leadership and technical oversight within the assigned area of expertise
Cross train to support front desk receptionist
Customer assistance is a primary responsibility, coverage shall be provided for the receptionist, as needed, for breaks, lunches, planned and unplanned absences, and support tasks as outlined
