  • Responsible for operating high-speed, file-based integrity production mail inserters and other print/mailing equipment to meet the company's required contractual obligations related to mailing first-class correspondence, statements, checks, etc.

  • Mail procedures require adherence to USPS regulations governing mail and adherence to federal privacy regulations.

  • Work hours will be Mon-Fri; 12:30 a.m.-9 a,m.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Two years of experience working in a business or government agency.

Preferred:

  • Two-plus years of combined production and warehouse or fulfillment center experience.

  • Documented experience operating production machinery.

  • Proven ability to multi-task with accurate productivity output.

  • Able to withstand exposure to dust, fumes and noise and can lift 50 pounds.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Basic knowledge of postal regulations as they relate to discount mail or ability to acquire such knowledge.

  • Ability to work efficiently as a member of a cohesive team.

  • Customer-service skills.

  • Analytical or critical-thinking skills.

  • Good judgment.

  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

  • Able to move up to 50 pounds throughout the work day.

  • Ability to clear machine jams by bending, stooping and reaching.

  • Ability to use a personal computer in a Windows operating environment.

  • Microsoft Word skills.

  • Ability to understand various software applications of mail areas.

  • Inserter machine, trim whinder and compressor skills.

  • Pitney Bowes Operator Certified within 90 days of hire.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Must have a basic knowledge of the mechanics, hydraulics, and the limitations of the plant. * Must have skills to conduct an inspection checklist on the plant and keep maintenance records. * Must keep plant serviced, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping. * Must have an understanding of the dangers involved in a plant operation. * Must have a basic knowledge of abilities and limitations in all applications. Ability to recognize potential problems before breakdowns occur. * Must have the ability to work safely and follow the policies and procedures of the company.
