  • Deliver messages, documents packages and mail to various business concerns or governmental agencies.
  • Sort or open incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Obtain receipts for articles delivered and keep log of items received and delivered.
  • Deliver items to offices and departments within the establishment.
  • Perform miscellaneous errands, such as carrying mail within the establishment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Public Trust clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand proficiently in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. or more in a physical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching.

VIEW JOBS 9/24/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-12-23T00:00 <p>Basic Functions:</p><p>To sort and promptly distribute all incoming first class, periodical, international, inter-office and Priority Parcel mail on a daily basis. Collect out-going mail and parcels from internal sources for same day processing.</p><p>Major Duties:</p><p>1.Sort and deliver incoming mail/Priority Parcels as described in the basic functions section.</p><p>2.Pick up and process outgoing first class mail and parcels for priority services.</p><p>3.Provide accurate records of delivery logs requiring confirmation signatures and electronic indicia. (includes pink and confidential envelopes)</p><p>4.Answer telephones and assist internal clients in relation to their needs.</p><p>5.Weigh and process outgoing first class mail using the automated posting system.</p><p>6.Pack and secure oversize parcels for shipping.</p><p>7.Properly stage and log parcels for Melville/Downtown and PADC shuttles.</p><p>8.Inform clients of the capabilities of the Mail Services Department on demand.</p><p>9.Pick up magazine and school supply's donations from designated areas twice daily.</p><br><ol start="10"><br><li><p>Prepares and sorts mail carts after final distribution and collection run for next day a.m. run.</p></li><li><p>Performs other tasks as assigned by the Director, Manager and/or Supervisor.</p></li><li><p>Provide support as necessary for the Office Services operation.</p></li><br></ol><p>Additional Job Responsibilities:</p><p>1.Partner with HVAC mechanic and Property Manager on climate control related issues for all floors.</p><p>2.Collaborate with shipping vendors to ensure shipment</p><p>3.Perform daily facility inspections to capture and address, i.e. lighting, pantry and restroom maintenance. If required escalate to vendors for resolution.</p><p>4.Compile and submit data for monthly Occupancy South Mail Services inbound/outbound activity reports.</p><p>5.Provide receptionist/ porter/matron services support i.e. Audio Visual assistance and perform furniture relocations, pantry maintenance and food set ups.</p><p>6.Execute small internal/external relocation move activity and partner with the move team.</p><p>7.Undergo recognized hazardous material shipment training for consumer commodities.</p><p>8.Ensure and supply all applicable signage to air parcels in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration shipping guidelines.</p><p>Minimum Years Experience required: 2 years experience in the Mail Services environment desirable.</p><p>Educational Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent.</p><p>Knowledge/Skills required: Basic computer skills as well as the ability to communicate in a very professional and concise manner</p><br> Estee Lauder New York NY
