PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary purpose of your job is to ensure pick up and dissemination of all incoming mail and to frank and ensure delivery of all outgoing mail. These duties are done in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations as well as established policies and procedures as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality care and safety can be maintained.
DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY:
As the Mail Clerk you are delegated the authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sort all incoming mail and pot outgoing mail.
Prepare batch mailings as requested.
Maintain postage meter with adequate funds to operate daily.
Disseminate any faxes received at the central fax.
Maintain an adequate supply of mailing items, including FedEx and USPS forms.
Assist with any other duties assigned.
Follow policies as outlined in the Procedure Manual.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Phone in any repairs needed for postage, fax, and copier machine.
Represent Martha's Vineyard Hospital in a positive manner in all communications.
Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining positive and effective working relationships with other hospital departments.
