Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • DRIVE sales by delivering exceptional customer service per the Operations P&P Manual.

  • Successfully complete the DMIT Training Program to enhance core skill set (ie: recruiting, developing, coaching, leading and training).

  • Train store personnel on standard operating procedures as well as State and Federal laws and regulations.

  • Communicate consistently with store personnel to insure understanding and compliance with standard operating procedures.

  • Act as the liaison between the District Sales Manager and the stores under the DMIT's direction.

  • Take appropriate actions to insure each store maximizes sales, minimizes asset loss, and conforms to budgetary requirements.

  • Extensive travel(up to 90%) from store-to-store, within a given geographic area

  • Perform work of subordinates as needed.

  • Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Communicate with employees at all levels of the company.

  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight for training and/or business meetings.

  • Ability to work varying days and hours, based on business needs.

  • Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with LIDS policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

  • Supervise Store Managers through planning, assigning, and directing their overall functions.

  • Appraise subordinates on positive performance and assist with formal performance evaluations.

  • Recruit, select, develop, and train store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.

  • Administer the progressive steps of discipline to include verbal and written warnings. In addition, the DMIT carries out employment terminations following approval from Human Resources and DSM.

  • Direct compliance of store personnel with established company policies, procedures and guidelines including, but not limited to, safekeeping of company inventory, funds and property.

  • Address complaints and problem solve when appropriate with the assistance of the DSM and or RD.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Four year degree in business or a related field and one year relevant experience or; two year degree in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience or; three years of relevant experience.

  • Proven supervisory skills

  • Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner.

  • Ability to operate a computer, as well as maneuver relative software programs.

  • Posses a current valid driver's license, certificate of insurance coverage and the ability to drive an automobile.

  • Driving required for up to 100% of the daily work schedule.

  • Standing required for up to 90% of the daily work schedule.

  • Relative computer hardware and software experience.

  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight for training and/or business meetings.

VIEW JOBS 10/10/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-08T00:00 POSITION PURPOSE District Execution Managers (DEMs) are responsible for overseeing the successful implementation and execution of all Merchandising Services activities within their district of assigned retail stores. This includes General Service Guidelines, Projects, Resets, and other assigned services. They are responsible for communication with their customers which include the District Manager and the key point of contact for Suppliers in their assigned market. DEMs are accountable for the overall performance of teams of managers, supervisors and associates that operate during the day and at night. These teams create an inviting shopping environment and enhance the customer experience by ensuring merchandising strategies and programs are executed successfully, as directed by the Merchandising Execution Regional Manager (MERM) and Merchandising Services organization. DEMs are accountable for hiring, training, and conducting performance reviews for their direct reports and are accountable for the activities for those associates . They are accountable for the teams metrics and expectations including safety, quality, productivity, completion of assigned projects. DEMs are accountable for the budget for their team, including overtime, payroll, and other expenses. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 30% - Interface and maintain relationship with District/Store contacts and suppliers as directed by Supplier Services team * Attend District meetings to communicate service metrics and other information * Monitor Mgrs participation in SSC led captainship program * Responsible for communicating and follow up on merchandising issues 30% - Manage execution for merchandising services initiatives * Set and communicate expectations * Conduct store visits and monitor reports across day and night teams * Accountable for team s key deliverables * Provide direction on merchandising activities and special projects * Hold Team accountable for expenses 25% - Accountable for staffing, training, development, and discipline * Coach and mentor direct reports and provide ongoing perf feedback * Provide guidance, set priorities, and assist with assigned tasks * Ensure execution of staffing, training, rewards and recognition 15% - Escalate and resolve merchandising services issues * Utilize regional captainship program to identify and resolve local and national issues * Utilize interactive reporting to pull key merchandising and operational reports NATURE AND SCOPE Position reports to Merchandising Execution Regional Manager Multiple Direct Reports ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Environment: Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors. Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Additional Minimum Qualifications: Education Required: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
