Generate Sales

  • Produce sales gains, by providing customer service.

  • To meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual statistics.

  • Learn to provide consistent, documented appraisal of an associate's sales performance. Provide support by giving feedback on areas of strength and opportunity while keeping in line with Company Objectives.

  • Adhere to current visual guidelines includes: proper merchandising, signage and store cleanliness.

  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with Dress Code Policy.

Control Expenses

  • Protect Company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.

  • Assist in preparation of store schedules that provide proper store coverage and are within the Company guidelines for wage control.

  • Follow all policies to accurately manage store inventory including receiving, transferring, completing price changes and conducting product counts.

  • Perform proper documentation and record keeping per LIDS Retail policies as well as state and federal laws.

  • Open and close the store as required following the procedures per the Operations P&P Manual.

  • Support and adhere to all LIDS policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Supervise Associates

  • Participate in LIDS Training Programs, adhere to set goals (for sales and tasks) and regular follow up.

  • Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.

  • Encourage store associates' direct compliance of established company policies, procedures and guidelines including (but not limited to) safekeeping of company inventory, funds and property.

  • Perform work of subordinates as needed.

  • Communicate with employees at all levels of the company.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus one year relative experience.

  • Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.

  • Ability to operate a computer, as well as maneuver relative software programs.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to climb a ladder and work with hands overhead.

  • Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.

  • Ability to work unsupervised.

Description * Set up and clear tables, stock all service stations and assist food servers with table service to ensure total guest satisfaction. * Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting. * Promptly and consistently reset all service-ware as prescribed. * Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments. * Serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary. * Practice "Teamwork" and "Clean as you go" policies. * Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning. * Attend monthly departmental meetings. * Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. * Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards. Requirements SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. * Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service-ware. * Ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests. * Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices. * Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 75 lbs. through a crowded room. * Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs. Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities: * High School Graduate preferred. * No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred. * Licenses or certificates: * Ability to obtain any government licenses or certificates as required for local area. * All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance (specific standards available). * The hotel functions seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day. * All employees, both management and hourly, must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift as business demands.
