  • Implement framework for Indigo grain marketing actions

  • Create an analysis framework to support efforts

  • Create and distribute market commentary and context for us by internal and external stakeholders

  • In partnership with Data Science create model for predicting market direction


  • Broad understanding of Ag / Soft futures markets

  • Ability to lead the creation of a futures market price supply and demand-based model

  • Comfort with technical analysis

  • Ability to write code

  • Strong communication skills for sharing insights with key stakeholders

  • Understanding/experience in global markets

  • Highly analytical

  • Comfort with creating intersections between new technologies (drones, satellites, etc.) and market models.

  • Strong statistical analysis skills

  • Ability to translate analysis into layman's terms for use by other Indigo stakeholders.

  • Reads a lot (related to market behavior)


  • Previous ag/soft trading or analytic experience in support of risk taking/management 10+ years

  • Ability to approach market from a quantitative lenses & marry up to qualitative contexts

  • Knowledge of international cash/basis markets a +

  • Comfortable in rapidly changing environment

  • Work with technology (Data Science) closely to create analytics

  • Light on Ego

  • Can articulate context/events without interjecting directional bias

  • Travel up to 20% (location dependent)

The Global Macro team focuses on developing Excel VBA macro and write SQL queries that increase ETF team performance The Macro team is responsible for data integration, design, modeling, and governance as well as the development, automation, and maintenance of various business functions. The candidate must have ability to analyze, design, develop and implement new and complex small application solutions to enhance current processes by defining functional specifications, and developing database and spreadsheet solutions. Join us as a Product Development Analyst Responsibilities: * Analysis, Documentation, and Macro Development: * Understand business requirements and translate them into VBA code * Write and review business requirements * Create or facilitate developer design documents and functional specifications * Develop off-line solutions to user requirements * Maintain and enhance existing Macros / spreadsheets * Document enhancements/maintain versions * Create and execute User Acceptance Testing plans and scripts Qualifications: * Minimum 4 years of experience in Excel VBA. * Basic Access database skills / SQL skills * Able to translate requirements into application code * B.S. / B.A. degree and/or equivalent work experience * 3 to 4 years prior business analyst or QA analyst experience preferred * Knowledge of python a plus. * Understanding of ETF a huge plus * Prior involvement or experience working on financial services systems projects a plus. * Understanding of custody, fund accounting, and/or fund administration operations a plus.
