Machinist

Universal Services Associates Inc. is looking for a skilled Machinist to operate various machinery, ensuring precision and efficiency in the manufacturing process. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines such as lathes, vertical mills, and CNC equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision to produce high-quality parts and components.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.

• Set up and adjust machine tools and equipment according to job specifications.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.

• Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures for each machining operation.

• Operate lathes, Bridgeports, and CNC equipment to fabricate parts.

• Adjust machine settings and tooling to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working condition.

• Participate in the feedback of unique prototypes and experimental designs.

• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Machinist or CNC Operator.

• Strong knowledge of machining processes, including turning, milling, and drilling.

• Familiarity with a variety of machine tools and equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and gauges.

• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and machining techniques.
