Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Machinist 11, for our Tulsa, Oklahoma location

In our organization, the Machinist 11 has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments.


Machines parts according to specifications for assemblies. Builds/repairs parts and makes repair parts for maintenance.


  • Reads and interprets blueprints and drawings to machine parts.

  • Builds and repairs parts.

  • Sets-up and operates conventional and CNC machines.

  • Reworks molds and tools damaged in production.

  • Completes related paperwork.


  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.

  • Supports and helps co-workers as needed.


  • Minimum of 2 years machine shop experience

  • Welding ability and CNC experience preferred

  • Mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, geometry, trigonometry)

  • Metric conversions

  • Weights and measures conversions

  • Basic verbal and written communication skills


  • Prolonged standing

  • Lifting up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally

  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing and pulling

VIEW JOBS 7/3/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-10-01T00:00 Role Summary: Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a Machinist – 3rd Shift to support Artificial Lift Services at our facility in Tulsa, OK. Essential Responsibilities: * Sets-up and operates special purpose equipment, conventional (lathe and/or mill), and/or numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers for fabrication of metallic and nonmetallic parts that hold to the high quality machine standards required within the organization. * Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements. * Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required. * Must be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers. * Hours/Shift: Work 3rd Shift (M-F, 11:00pm – 7:00am) * Training is 1st Shift (M-F, 7am-3:30pm) * Overtime may be required as needed Qualifications/Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED * 1 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Must have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). * Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry. * Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
