The Role:

Our site in Decatur, TX is seeking a machinist to join our team. This position performs tasks directly related to the machining of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials.

Hours of the position are 3:15PM-11:15PM Monday-Friday

What You'll Do:

• Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers, (desktop and machine control varieties)

• Operate powered machine tools such as vertical CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipment.

• Set up and run non-routine and complex parts.

• Complete machining tasks within a customer job.

• Routinely perform initial setup on new parts.

• May be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.

What We Seek:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Able to run most machines, included complex.

• Able to read and write the English language.

• Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.

• Possess math and precision measurement skills and able to read machine drawings.

• Possess advanced knowledge of machining methods.

• Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Able to pass pre-employment physical.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs daily.

• Experience in working in an ISO 9001/14001/45001 environment a plus.

• Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.
