Qualifications / Education / Experience

Precision Technologies, the MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING division of Benchmark Electronics, is looking for a career-minded MACHINIST II for our Fremont, CA location on our evening swing shift. Employees who work the swing shift are eligible for a 10% shift differential.

Our client list reads like a "Who's Who" of Original Equipment Manufacturers requiring precision mechanical production capabilities including close-tolerance machining and electromechanical clean room assembly. Our product lines include equipment for the Semiconductor, and Scientific Instrumentation markets. What would really impress us:

  • Experience in a Contract Manufacturing environment

  • 2- year technical degree (or apprenticeship certificate)

  • High-school diploma

  • 6 or more years' experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machines

May fit and assemble parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, handtools, and power tools. Verifying dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges and gauge blocks. May install machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and test operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance. May develop specifications from general description and draw sketch of part or product to be fabricated. May confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
